We welcome Jane Gow Independent Financial Advisers, premises that opened officially on Monday 1st September, that look like the inside of a modern Halifax branch (it’s a Halifax agency). The premises, though empty for a long while, were formerly Newyddion Rhuthun News, Well Street. What's missing is an external cash machine.

We see the consequent closure of Molyneux’s Halifax agency, formerly Dodd’s, where Dodd’s once offered Halifax savers a service over its estate agent counter, without any security, before the (now closed) bespoke area became available. And Dodd's were once agents for another building society. Note the amendment to the window closure notice. Underneath the sticker it reads “Welsh Street” and although incorrect, Well Street was once known as such.

We welcome the chiropodist in the former recently refurbished and long-term idle Banton optician, Clwyd Street. This opened officially on 26 August. It’s great to see this unit reused after all this time.

We see the consequent closure of the same practice’s premises on Pen-y-Lôn, just off Well Street.
