First, though, they obviously need to make good the cracked, crazed and splintered stucco. There's plenty of work to do on the rotting, wood-framed windows, as well.
The adjacent property, presently under scaffolding, is also being repainted. Unlike at no. 16, the adjacent owner is keeping to the same colour, ochre. Once complete, the decorator will move left to no. 16 and thence left again. This part of Clwyd Street will soon look resplendent.
The present owners of no. 16 Castle Street bought in October 2010 and moved in six months later. They had already demolished the right hand side carport, affected roof repairs to the rear, added a rear roof light, painted the porous rear and northern semi-detached side in a fetching ochre and, of course, undertaken a programme of work within.
