The produce market is back… today (ooops) next Saturday, 13th. It will be on the Square. This, to me, is its natural home but does involve lugging the stalls up Clwyd Street. What's more important, though, is its continuation. If moving it to the Square does that, great, because it sadly didn't materialise last month. To work, it needs our support. In passing, when the produce market started, readers may recall it was on both the Square and in the Gaol precinct. But it was somewhat larger, back then.

The county market (aka the WI market) and the market stalls (all in old town hall) have new tables, rearranged. Seems odd after so many years.

Santander has a bright red sign protruding into Well Street at right angles to the shop.

Hardly Nickels, the antithesis of Harvey Nichols, seems to have lost or dropped the epithet Faerie Pirates. Still plenty of smells wafting from within, of patchouli, incense and whatnot.

There's a notice in Alton Murphy stating that staff will not tolerate abusive behaviour. And so they shouldn't but it comes to something when you see a sign like this in Rhuthun/Ruthin. Don't know how long it's been there and maybe it's just company policy.

Robbins is a new shop at the junction of Clwyd Street & Upper Clwyd Street, where the long-standing antique dealer once was latterly a health & safety shop, barber and most recently antiques again but with a poorly stocked tea room). The board next to Annie's board at the Price memorial states Robbins sells arts, crafts, gifts and summer shoes. Hoorah for another shop that's no longer empty.

If you were wondering where the results of the Tesco survey have got to, I've been a bit lazy over the summer, sorry. I'm only human (and some might say I'm not really that).

Should the Rhuthun/Ruthin Blog have its own Facebook page? Is this a useful tool? Or are there already too many Rhuthun Facebook sites out there? How does a non-personal FB site work, anyway? I mean, it's positively no good having a Facebook page if I only have a handful of "likes". How embarrassing would that be?

The Welsh Blog Awards 2011 are seeking nominations. I say this not because I'm after a nomination (I can self-nominate if I wish) but to remind everyone that Rhuthun/Ruthin scooped 2nd last time in the best community blog section. Having been through it once, I'm relaxed about not doing so again.

Or maybe we should Tweet instead of Facebook? Each of the above snippets would make convenient Twitter things.
