Loved & Loathed

Rhuthun/Ruthin got some very positive publicity yesterday, with live appearances from both the mayor and the newsletter editor/former chairman of the civic association. Some may have noticed, too, both yesterday and the day before, a handful of architecture students in town. They have started to assist in the initial development of The Masterplan (aka "Rhuthun: market town of the future") that we talked about nearly a fortnight ago. The students are gathering information that will assist in preparation for a full public consultation at the end of May. As the Mayor said on the radio, they were able to see Rhuthun through a fresh pair of eyes.

Also launched the day before yesterday is part of the Visit Rhuthun website that enables local people to comment on and even upload pictures of both their most loathed and most loved corners of Rhuthun. There appears but one rule: it must be a pubic space. The Venue or The Park Place doesn't count in either category. At the time of writing this, nothing’s emerged quite yet. Time enough.
