Lobby Extra

Even those detractors who felt the post entitled ‘Lobby’ was anti-Tesco must surely agree that if this blog has achieved anything it’s made Tesco rethink the arrangements for its shoppers.

The new environmental lobby made the car park-to-store crossing point redundant. Tesco has now moved the steel bollards from the walkway to the road itself, freeing up space for people to use the crossing safely. It’s still slightly substandard, leaving only about one yard of protected width between lobby and roadway bollards but it’s far better than it was. People are now using the crossing point, again.

Inside the lobby, gone are the cereals and the soft drinks. Instead, there appeared cut flowers. In effect, this is now Rhuthun/Ruthin’s third florist, after the expanded Reebee’s and Edenbloom. A little more competition with town traders.
