The other bit of news when mentioning the Square that needs adding to yesterday's post was that on Thursday a white van stood outside and emptied MDUK Hair Design. It had completed the job by early evening. MDUK didn’t quite make the year. While it’s arguable that there are plenty of hair dressers in town (and Celtic Hair opened and Creative Image expanded after MDUK, in January & March 2009 respectively), this regrettably leaves another town centre gap, and on the Square, too. MDUK seemed busy at the weekend.
A further casualty this week was Baroque of Clwyd Street that ceased trading after Saturday and was emptied during the early part of the week. Baroque still trades from Dinbych. It's understood the decision to close was for family rather than recessionary reasons.
