We all know Clwyd Street is struggling. In the summer of 2021, traders took the initiative by producing a leaflet. That's no longer available and, in any case, recent developments mean that it's out of date.
The struggle is now even more accentuated following the closure of Jazz and the CBD shops; and the relocation from this weekend of both Rachael Lewington's unit and Bijou to the arcade off Well Street.
It's interesting that that there's rivalry between Well and Clwyd Streets and the changes alter that dynamic, as two Clwyd Street businesses find their way to Well Street.
As nice as it is to see the Well Street arcade in much better health, the Clwyd Street empties beyond the Tom Price memorial are little compensation, resulting instead in a forlorn Clwyd Street.
