On March 13th, there was the curious sight of a woman from the trunk road agency (seen here) poking about in the retaining wall on the A494 below Ysgol Brynhyfryd. With a thin but intense light, she was looking for signs of bats. One assumes that the crevices yielded no results for, now, we see the repointing of the wall (which, we have to say, is important, because the joints are now very exposed).
