The Masterplan is 10 years old. For the next fortnight, the town council is letting us all have a further say in how we should develop the town. This is ahead of the changes we might see under Levelling Up. What's on display are only concepts but it does give a flavour of what we might see.
On day one, yesterday, popping my head around the door of the Old Courthouse, and everything was blank... and the conclusion was that Rhuthun/Ruthin's future was cancelled. Gavin Harris soon got to work, though, and the updates were completed by 10.15 a.m.
One of these updates on the new pedestrian signage saw this mistranslation of 'Coach Friendly Status'. The Welsh reads 'Trainer Friendly Status'. By 'trainer' we mean a personal training, football coach or similar. Other than this little wrinkle (and the use in English twice of compliment rather than complement), the display is worth a visit. And,. remember, it's all put together by volunteers.
