For a Quarter of a Million

As of October 20th, £695,000 buys this substantial and recently refurbished house towards the foot of Bryn Goodman. Like many dwellings on this road, it's large, well set back and has a soft frontage. The recent works have been extensive and give the property much added kerb appeal. Two lounges. Two of four beds with en suites. A study. A day room. A second living room. An exquisite kitchen. Modern bathroom fittings. This is a *large* house and luxury home.

Even so, £700,000 is a lot of money. You're obviously paying extra for the location. But the area is deteriorating, with the possibility of flats—of all things—located midway up. There's now also over-development in the area and it looks like there’s something going on alongside this particular house. And, don't mention the rubbish road (which does have its attraction: it slows traffic down and ensures no one uses Jumbo Hill as a rat run).

And, of course, there's still Coppins on the market (now also £695,000 but when added in January 2021, £775,000), if you'd prefer. This hasn't sold, probably because it's bang next door to proposed developments at The Nook (one house and up to four flats). At the top, the colonial looking Hunter's (or is that Hunters'?) Lodge (marketed at £750,000 from £775,000) has sold STC, though, at the second attempt.
