Dry Again?

It seems we're out of diesel again at Dyffryn Services. So far, we've managed well during the current fuel crisis. The nearest fuel station, which by half a mile is at Loggerheads, has some but it seems that poor Lisa would struggle to get there. A motorist in an average diesel car at 60 mpg would use £1.60-worth of diesel or a quarter of a gallon to and back from Loggerheads.

So far, apart from one week ago (for a little over 36 hours), we've tended to be immune to the wider issue of fuel delivery problems. The news today suggests that 'only' 16 per cent of filling stations are completely dry or likely to become so imminently. Two-thirds of filling stations have both fuel types. That's a significant improvement in the south east of England and in northern England's metropolitan areas but a worsening of the position in Rhuthun/Ruthin. And, assuming a 10 minutes to fuel up (at the most), that'll be 40 minutes out of your day to Loggerheads and back.

As to whether Lisa has ever known anything like it, what about pasta, lavatory paper, hand sanitiser, thermometers, disinfectant & wipes, basic medicines, even frozen peas—just a short 18 months ago?
