Will the Chaos Never End?

Of course, it doesn't help that Bridge Services (BP) is closed for a refit. But, the mere hint that motorists should 'carry on as normal' and statements such as there is 'plenty of petrol' didn't appear to reassure anyone, and business was brisk (i.e. slow!) this afternoon at Dyffryn Services (Esso). You can just see a marshal in the photo trying to control traffic joining from Denbigh Road.

Then there is the beginnings of gaps on shelves in the bog paper department. That was evident, yesterday. Perhaps that is exacerbated by the absence of meat (owing to a lack of CO2 for slaughter and packing). Maybe an enforced vegetarian diet has caused more frequent visits to everyone's lavatories. And pasta, it is suggested, is starting to be a cause of concern.

All dry. The pumps at Bridge Services, this afternoon

UPDATE 25/9/21: Noting the pump 4 sale at £29.50, 50p below the imposed £30 maximum, the first diesel tank at Dyffryn Services were closed off as empty at 8.34 a.m...

... and, by the afternoon, Dyffryn Services was out of diesel altogether, even if the hand-written notice is barely readable:

UPDATE 26/9/21: a tanker arrived early this afternoon.
