The clean-up begins.
They arrived just ahead of the bank holiday weekend and encamped on the Park Road car park. But, true to their word, the travellers left us yesterday... but they also left a mess. Not as bad as in some years but bad enough. This in spite of the county council providing a dumpster alongside a portable lavatory.
Noticeable was the relative newness of the visitors' vehicles. One was a September 2020 but rare new-style Land Rover Defender, at over £50,000 when new. This was seen on a number of occasions touring Rhuthun/Ruthin and its estates and, some reported, that they were looking for caravans to buy. Who knows.
And, then there's the little issue of some of the vehicles being untaxed:
That due on August 28th may already have bene paid: it does take a while for the public version to update.
