Taking a Break

Post-Brexit shortages? Wagon driver shortage? Closing down?

Almost overnight, B & M Bargains is starting to look sparse. The reason, though, is that on June 7th, the store starts its refit. It is expected to close altogether, from July 17th, for about one month. As for the changes we can expect, it needs it. It looks tired both within and outwith. It's had little change since it morphed from a garage to Kwik Save. Yes, the shelving has changed but even that's no longer looking its best. The flooring's awful. So, this transformation's timely and much anticipated.

Much of the gardening range was moved to B & M's Yr Wyddgrug/Mold store but left behind were a number of sorry-looking dehydrates that seem never to have been watered, let alone cared for. Most desiccated plants stock was marked down to 50p but in all honesty they should've gone to directly the green bin system. Such a shame.

And, as for the empty shelves, well, that's to play the game of moving things around, so that the store's farthest aisle can be shut off to allow contractors to begin on the Co-op side of B & M.
