10 out of 10 to Denbighshire county council for its decision to open the Lord's Garden at Nantclwyd y Dre free of charge from yesterday. This, they say, is a response to the local lockdown—and we in Rhuthun/Ruthin appreciate it. Of course, being a locally locked down county, it's available to Denbighshire residents only. The thing is, we've now got nowhere to go other than within Denbighshire and this gesture really helps.
This is a wonderful idea. There's still a little colour in the garden but the most beneficial things are the peace & quiet it affords and the opportunity to spy Rhuthun from a different perspective.
Again, well done DCC, for cheering us up.
(If you're not a resident of Denbighshire, you shouldn't be here at the moment)
And, the entry to the house is now down from £7 to £4, with a free guidebook worth £2 thrown in. Open till then end of this month.
Centre is a fruit of a common (or, rather uncommon) medlar tree. Elsewhere, the apples are collected but a pear tree still bears fruit
