Safe to Play Again

All playgrounds were closed at lockdown. It's now deemed safe to open them again, as from today. This nicely coincides with the start of the school holidays.

Today, then, the newly refurbished play area at Maes Hafod was available for the first time since it was rebuilt. It was fallow from May 26th. At lunchtime, three children with one adult were using the area. That at Haulfryn was also open, but had no takers. The land at Glasdir given over to play equipment was firmly closed but then again it isn't yet ready. Most interestingly, that at Cae Ddol remained closed. This (included the play area and the wheeled sports area (AKA the skate board park).

The new play area at Maes Hafod is one of 17 planned or completed in Denbighshire. You enter at your own risk, so reads the signs.

Update 21/7/20: Cae Ddol play area and skateboard park open from mid-morning and the aerial rope way is  also now usable. A joyful gathering of parents and children results.
