Teeming

Traffic through and around Rhuthun/Ruthin today was the highest since lockdown. It helped that it was warm and sunny, unlike the preceding couple of days. Yesterday, of course, was either very wet or there was a persistent drizzle before and after the heavy rain.

And, today was the first day of spring or summer where bikers were out in considerable force. They've been largely absent till now and we've been grateful for small mercies.

The Coffee Cabin was open, as is now usual, on the Square, as was Bar Llaeth. The difference, though, was that today we saw for the first time some chairs and tables out on the pavement, for Bar Llaeth customers, and this was great to see.

Staff inside W & G Jones's café were making preparations following their redecoration. The former Choo Choo (in the old Dodd's building) was also under preparation for an August 1st launch for the people who currently have the Pet Cave, Upper Clwyd Street. Given the visibility of their new premises, we sincerely hope that Jus'4Paws won't need to plaster the town with A boards and other notices. A boards hamper distancing and their advertisements previously in various positions are untidy. Why are they allowed to place notices when others cannot?
