Hidden Art

Such a shame that the Syr Kyffin Williams Denbighshire School Art Competition finalists are tucked away in the relative obscurity of county hall, never to be seen by the general public. Why not exhibit these in a public space, where all can see and enjoy them? Why not Rhuthun/Ruthin library? Or the craft centre. Or even Tesco.

All these and other artworks are behind closed and locked doors and this does no favours for the pupils whose work is displayed. What the public probably aren't aware of is that they can ask for an accompanied viewing... but how many know; how many have?

It says that "every child deserves a chance to fly" but obviously this should not be in the gaze of the public.
