After a warm, sunny and promising Good Friday start to the long weekend, with temperatures in Rhuthun/Ruthin as high as 24°C by late afternoon, yesterday was a little disappointingly grey and overcast, a full 10°C or more lower. Indeed, the above shots were taken exactly four months ago in the grip of a consistent cold snap that lasted from the end of November 2010 into January 2011. This was equally as bad as 2009 though not as prolonged. February & March were both milder and dry. You might recall, though, that the council almost ran out of grit, such was the December crisis.
