Happy Easter

The Library, Annie’s and Nelson’s may have been shut but the town was otherwise extremely active yesterday, with plenty of locals and visitors enjoying the welcome spring Saturday sunshine. In fact, the town was at its best. Last week, Rhuthun/Ruthin’s Seconds Ahead transformed to Trade Secret. Someone at the former Ethel Austin’s had taken down the sign directing customers to the nearest open branch in Yr Wyddgrug/Mold, which closed last week. As promised by the new proprietors of Castle Bell newsagents, there’s now an expanded range of magazines within. It’s now possible to add The Field to the usual copy of The Lady. Those pubs recently caught in a sting were open, following a reprieve (though the front page of the Daily Post suggested we were all drinking too much anyway, drinking to death in fact).

We think these pictures are particularly Easter-like. Note the suitably numbered *three* wind turbines against the evening glow, taken from near Rhesgoed Farm, above the Vale. The other's Jan's Cards' Easter window display. Click and they should enlarge. Happy Easter.
