Well, that was the shortest departure and comeback in history. A bit of a sudden volte face, in fact. I'm back! Thanks for the positive comments attached to yesterday's post and for your support. I do appreciate it. Indeed, I feel somewhat humbled. The clincher, though, was an email of apology from someone who only 24 hours earlier had sent a rather unpleasant, indeed, threatening tirade. They'd re-read the Free Press article, concluded that there was a certain ambiguity and that they'd been hasty. That was a bit of a relief and the second email cleared the way for my re-emergence from the shadows not of Dog Lane but Jumbo Hill. Long live freedom of speech.
