If you’re thinking of registering for any of the open heritage weekend events in less than three week's time, you’d be best advised to book soon. But if you don’t or can’t get in, there’s still plenty on offer where booking’s not necessary.
The Vale of Clwyd heritage open days are among the best publicised, organised and most successful in Wales. They offer the potential to attract visitors not just once but for repeat visits at other times.

The Rhuthun Heritage weekend is on 13th and 14th September 2008. 13 premises are open and there are eight tours & walks (some repeated), all but one pre-bookable

- It will be possible to enter The Old Gaol for free. Here there will be a mosaic artist at work, looking for inspiration from visitors.
- The library will feature an exhibition on Rhuthun civic association’s Quayle Awards.
- The English Presbyterian Church in Wales building refurbishment should be finished.
- Rhos (Rose) Cottage will be open to the public at the same time as the event.
- TÅ· Gwyn represents one of the large number of rural timber-framed houses, at Llanfwrog (bookable).
