Sunday Trading

Updated following comments
There’s been quite some comment on here about whether Rhuthun’s services should open on a Sunday. The thrust is that if Rhuthun has pretensions along the lines of a tourist town, it should act as one, including more Sunday opening.

Currently, there’s very little in Rhuthun on Sundays.

There’s at least one other shop that’s now prepared to test the waters and, from 12 noon today, Spaven’s café-and-ceramics on Clwyd Street will open on Sundays, as indeed they promised.

The challenge is, are there any others likely to follow over the summer?

Shops opening regularly on Sundays (please use the comments to add any we’ve missed):

Tesco
Co-op (both)
B&M
Ethel Austin
Bridge Services
Dyffryn Services
The Coffee Mill
Bar Llaeth
Castle Bell newsagents
Duke’s Stores
Farm & Pet Place
Cavendish Ikin
Beresford Adams
Molyneux
Spaven's

Most town pubs are open during the day (and evening).

Plus Pine Direct, and the garden and DIY centres on Lôn Parcwr.
