Yesterday’s post was intended to be a positive one about how in our Christmas activities we can include the town that is literally on our doorstep. It’s too easy to get in the car to Chester or Wrecsam or Llandudno (or further afield) to do our shopping. By embracing Rhuthun’s traders a little more, we can help them and help ourselves.
We also made what we thought were witty remarks about the town council’s website and the typo therein occurring, concerning the Christmas evening trading dates. These attracted two inauspicious comments about yesterday’s post and probably rightly so. We are sorry if anyone felt the site you are now reading asserted the town’s website should be “written off”. To do so would be to take our remarks out of context.
The site you are now reading remains as supportive of our town as does the official town council website, which we endorse.
And we now issue a challenge. If anyone feels any previous post on this site is in any way negative towards the town, set out your appeal in the comments box to this post. We will review that post and justify it, amend it or remove it.
