Use it or Lose it

Following nearly one month of works, the Midland Bank/HSBC reopened on Thursday. We can expect five-days-a-week banking which, in the era of closures and part time opening, is good news. There remains a counter service, so we aren't a 'digital bank' like you see in Yr Wyddgrug/Mold. That the HSBC has spent money on the building is itself very encouraging. The nearest full HSBC banking otherwise is in Y Rhyl, Wrecsam or Y Fflint. We need use our branch or face losing it.

Sources who've been in suggest that there's a new paying in machine, which is placed where one of the three (now two) interrogation interview rooms are. Outside, we have a new ATM, replacing two older cash machines. There was a concern about the finish to the exterior brick wall but, mercifully, the HSBC has reinstated well. Ditto the floor where once was a rubbish bin and concrete plinth.
