West Side Story

Mike Hall of G Parry marches on. He must have confidence in Rhuthun/Ruthin. Why else is he gradually acquiring so much of it?

Choo Choo and to its right the empty 'Joe Brown'

It's reported he has given Choo Choo three weeks to vacate. She will move her clothes to the shop around the corner, above Clwyd Street. (Is this also owned by G Parry?.) And it appears he has either done the same next door for Dylan Baines' 'Joe Brown' or he may even have bought the premises. Anyway, whichever, we shall have more chaos on the Square. Perhaps he intends to amalgamate Choo Choo and Baines' as it once was, under Majestic Travel. Just when we felt that fashion shops might be returning to Rhuthun, 'Joe Brown' exits.

It's difficult to keep count of the properties on the Square now owned by Hall. As far as we know, it includes the Myddelton Arms; the former Montecito; the premises to Montecito's left called Oliver Bell (which is never open but does look good); and that to Montecito's right, to become a restaurant.

This means Hall owns the entire west side of the Square. He may even have the Coffee Cabin at the junction of Clwyd Street. Confidence or courageousness?
