Yesterday, we looked at the exemptions in Rhuthun/Ruthin for the new 20 mph default urban speed limit. We quipped that because there'd been no specific traffic orders (other than for the exemptions), perhaps it might not come in. Well, if you believe that, you'll believe anything.
Here is a 30 mph sign on the A525 approach to Rhuthun from Llanfair. Look closely and the new sign has a sticker for the '3' in 30 that on September 17th can be peeled off to reveal a '2' for 20 mph. Not all of Rhuthun's gateway 30 mph signs have so far been treated but it does indicate that someone, somewhere is preparing for this rather nasty shock.
