Restored

Also at the Festival was something we missed. It proved impossible to be at the right palace at the right time. 22 years after he unveiled the original plaque on near enough the 600th anniversary and, this year, Dafydd Iwan did it again. The plaque was removed upon the closure and refurbishment of the Nat West Bank and is now restored back in place.

We're still unsure whether Owain Glyndŵr actually set fire to the town. He certainly laid it to siege and destroyed much of it, and with that history was made... and is now again appropriately marked.

'Red sky at night. Rhuthun's alight'... or did it ever burn down?
