And so to the less good side of Saturday's Top Dre (but remember that, overall, feedback has been brilliant).
The litter problem this year was magnified. The skip brought in was overtopped with collected rubbish.
Overall, there were no problems during the event itself (as in recent years) and the event was a success.
Post -festival noise was an issue this year, especially after 11 pm and this continued to 3 am.
There was also some ill-feeling towards a compere (Huw Hilditch Roberts) who was said to hog the limelight on the lorry stage and to have uploaded a video on Facebook without the festival association giving permission. (He did not need that permission.) They reckon he'll not compare again but we shall see.
There was a concern that this non-political event would be overtaken by Yes Cymru supporters but this did not happen. The closest we got was one of That Man's band with a t-shirt with 'ail-adfer' on the front.
It's reported that the organisers believe that a donation made at one of the entrances by an American couple visiting was 'lifted' by someone staffing an entrance barrier. If so, this is unbelievable in a town such as Rhuthun/Ruthin.
