Firing on all Cylinders

Our ears were burring when we heard. The Clwyd Alyn press machine was all fired up to tell us that the first tenants have moved into Glasdir Part 2. Clwyd Alyn had a burning desire to remind us that for the first 18 occupants, their housing was environmentally sound. In fact, Clwyd Alyn seems to be blazing a trail with these dwellings. To add further fuel to the fire, the houses are spacious and roomy.

So, we thought we should fire away on a post about the new housing. The tenants shall benefit like no other social housing tenants from well insulated, energy efficient homes. They should be as warm as toast without burning a hole in their pocket (though it does remain to be seen whether the claimed environmentally friendlier winter heating would be all smoke and mirrors: will it actually work well?).

We hope that the first 18 residents will get along like a house on fire. They certainly must be proud that of all the houses in Rhuthun/Ruthin only these will set the world on fire.

Obviously, Clwyd Alyn were under fire for certain recent events. The community wasn't looking for these houses and after one was burnt to the ground, people were even less impressed, even if critics simply fired from the hip. We're certain now we see the benefits of the housing and people moving in that people will in future hold their fire. We nevertheless did fire a question at Clwyd Alyn about the cause of the mishap and whether there was no smoke without fire, but it seems that either Clwyd Alyn could not answer our burning question, were being coy or the investigation is incomplete: perhaps investigators have to go through fire and water to find the answer.
