A Good Education—or Not

This post is about basic literacy. It passes no judgement other than on the product of a modern education and its lack of understanding of basic grammar. 'Your' is the possessive case of 'you' and an attributive adjective. That's very different to 'you're'.

Neatly chalked recently on the footpath running along the perimeter of Ysgol Brynhyfryd's pitches are the words 'Your gay'.

Given that 'your' acts as an attributive adjective, the immediate response to this is, 'My gay what, exactly?'

This graffito could not possibly be the work of a Brynhyfryd student, for such scholars would surely know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'. Wouldn't they? Brynhyfryd's a good school, remember... and, they'd be taught about diversity, too.
