Who says there's no future in carbon-based fuels?
Today, Bridge Services (aka the BP filling station) closes. The shop'll remain open but there'll be no petrol or diesel (or car wash) while its owners, the Motor Fuel Group, install new tanks and pumps.
In January 2018, owners MRG converted Bridget Services from Texaco to BP. A month later, MRG sold to the MFG.
The investment is probably necessary (I assume). why otherwise would you go to such expense for such a futile outcome? Methinks MFG needs to consider its operating model. There may yet be few electric cars in Rhuthun/Ruthin but you can certainly read the signs. Future charging of EVs on forecourts such as Rhuthun's is simply impractical. In future, you'll use your 20 minutes fast charge time to park in a supermarket car park and go and shop.
