I just wonder whether we need county councillors at all any more. Why don't we just use Facebook as a giant referendum for any and every public policy decision and align the outcome to what people are saying. That would be true democracy, wouldn't it. And it would save the cost of elections and those councillors' expenses.
Or would that simply be mob rule?
