In the cold light of day, we see some of the damage caused to the riverbank near Cae Ddol, following the floods of January 20th. At the rear of Maes Ffynnon, the bank has been totally undermined, exacerbating the previous position.
Meanwhile, at a number of points on the river, the gabions, below, have sustained more damage. They don't last for ever but they weren't due for maintenance or even replacements.
