Not at Loggerheads

The landlord of the We Three Loggerheads pub was on the radio this morning.

This was in reference to the Welsh government travel ban for English being introduced tomorrow from 6 p.m. Of course, much of the immediate north west England has its own restrictions and people if they travel from England at all should only do so *through* Denbighshire on the way to an area outside a local health protection zone. In effect, for Denbighshire, the Welsh government travel ban should make no difference.

Paul Wyatt supported the decision, even though he stated that he thought that this would only delay rather than stop things and he accepted that it was and will be 'devastating' for his business. 70 to 80 per cent of his business, he says, comes from Merseysiders. They've dried up. He took the decision at the point of the local lockdown to close. There is a simple update on the website, which states, 'We are closed from 6pm on the 2nd of October until further notice due to new coronavirus restrictions'.
