Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday was a little busier in town (certainly the busiest day since lockdown but, in reality, still quiet).

All our hair salons and barbers opened yesterday (Tuesday) and today (Wednesday), save for Kave.

This Wednesday evening, The House of Hair & Beauty, Hashm barbers and Lox Box were finishing or clearing up at 8p.m. and The Salon, Clwyd Street, still had a paying customer at 8.15p.m. under the gentle metallic care of a two attendant stylists and a mane of foil.

And on Wednesday lunchtime, our first pub appeared to open its doors, with two "punters" under the veranda at the Wine Vaults. Ah, but this was an illusion. The pub wasn't open for the permitted out doors customers and there was no evidence of any drinks. The pub remained steadfastly locked this evening.

But, the Park Place *was* open this evening as a trial run, thanks to a large beer garden at its rear. Patrons had to book or you took your chance and queued, to be allocated a space if available. There were maxima imposed: four on a table with no more than two households allowed; or six if from the same household.

Following its paint-up and refit, on Monday 13th, Siop Nain came back to life, one week after it was permitted to do so, as did Leonardo's. They've thoroughly refurbished and repainted inside Siop Nain and have removed  the large gondola point of purchase display that greets you at the front of the shop on entry. This creates safe space. The whole place is lighter and more open inside.
