Unprecedented

There remains a huge lack of understanding as regards climate change both within the general public and especially our national politicians where there is a lack of action. We agonise over Europe yet we let down our younger people on climate change. We fail to see the consequences of our own actions.

One outward manifestation of this crisis was seen yesterday morning during a mild, bright day: someone was cutting their front lawn. In mid-winter. In late December. Immediately after Christmas. Two days before a new year.

Unheard of.
