With photographers and journos all over Market Street, I doubt anyone comes off particularly well after this week's inconclusive media frenzy in Rhuthun/Ruthin at the Carl Sargeant inquest. It turned out to be just what the coroner didn't want, "a trial by press, politics or personality". As new information emerged, there was talk of contempt of court and whispers of a judicial review. In fact, I just wonder why the family didn't simply keep a low profile not just at the inquest but from the very start. The public purse must surely be emptying as a result of the week plus whatever time the coroner now requires to complete his task. And all because an AM *allegedly* couldn't act with due decorum... though that, of course, remains unproven.
