Restored

Today sees the restoration of Sunday bus services in Rhuthun/Ruthin. Rhuthun has been without Sunday buses since July 2016, since the sudden collapse of GHA Coaches. From today, though, we again have Sunday buses to Denbigh, Rhyl and Wrexham. We've traditionally enjoyed those going north but Wrexham's were added in 2009.

First Sunday bus for Rhuthun since July 2016 (time stamped at 0937 today)

Also restored from tomorrow are Mondays to Saturdays evening journeys on the same route. Most of these were lost in July 2016, as well, and there have been none to and from Wrexham after 6.35 p.m. from Wrexham.

As of yesterday, we also said goodbye to Stagecoach on the Ruthin - Mold - Chester service. Their drivers have been fantastic and their service very good—unlike predecessor GHA's. Henceforth, M & H Coaches takes over the service. Also disappearing is Phoenix Transport from the Rhuthun town service (73), the bus that comes in from Betws Gwerfil Goch, Melin y Wig, Derwen, Clawddnewydd, Clocaenog, Cyffylliog and Bontuchel (number 72) and from Llanelidan (77). Llew Jones Coaches replaces it, with a low floor bus. Coastline already started on the 55/X5 between Ruthin, Corwen, Llangollen & Wrexham, from January 29th. It had previously been with Llew Jones.

The Arriva poster reads, "Additional trips introduced Monday to Saturday evenings and Sunday's". Sunday's??
