In Passing—November 2017

Through our letterboxes w/c November 20th, Lidl's has been posting two £5-off vouchers (when you spend more than £30). It's available for use only at its Dinbych store. Wonder why.

A Christmas pop-up shop has appeared on Well Street, in the former Artefacts unit which usually gets short-term lets for Tenovus.

After being empty and a number of former uses, this shop on the Square has reverted to selling women's fashions.

New in the former Old & New unit is Tedi's Beds, run by the proprietor of Corwen Carpets (slightly farther down Well Street, across the Wynnstay Road junction), who flits between the two and uses remove CCTV to monitor who's in which shop. As benefits a Corwen Carpets' outlet, Tedi's Beds is crammed. Corwen Carpets have tended to sell mattresses not only in (and often outside, on Wynnstay Road itself) their town centre location, but that previously on the industrial estate.

Charcoal Grill is displaying only one out of a maximum of five for food hygiene.

Flick through Rightmove and you'll notice that rather than five pages of houses in Rhuthun/Ruthin, there are currently only three. Beresford Adams is devoting one of its two windows to trying to drum up more trade.
