Brexit or Bremain?

Now the polls have closed, we feel we can briefly mention *that* referendum. Polling at Rhuthun/Ruthin's Canolfan Awelon was steady throughout the day but things hotted up in the evening and continued busily even after 8 p.m. Speaking to the polling clerks and they said they welcomed plenty of new faces—people who didn't normally vote, people who were unsure what to do. Certainly, I think this was the busiest I'd ever seen Awelon during a vote.

Discovered in Cymru was the first Vote Beaver sign. Someone copied the idea on the B5105 Cerrigydrudion road, in Llanfwrog Rural. I don't know but I feel there's something slightly obscene about it. And, I wonder what might happen should ever a Lee or Leer stand for election locally.

Wetherspoon's has been promulgating an impartial website on the referendum. Anyone can have their view but I do fear this is simply a front and is not impartial at all. If so, pedalling it as such isn't cricket i.e. it's disingenuous.

One business in Rhuthun taking sides is Vale A (Vale Carpets, which continues minus the letters Crpets on its facia). Once again, anyone can have an opinion but is it good for business—on either side of the debate—to nail your colours so forcefully? My guess is, you'll brass off half the population—and half your customers. Oddly, when you engage the proprietor, he seemed strangely agnostic about the whole affair. He certainly was no enthusiastic torch bearer for Brexit.
