After this month's changes to car parking arrangements, it speaks volumes that in yesterday's Free Press it was up to *Dinbych* traders to campaign on "the anti-business parking price hike" rather than Rhuthun's.
This is quite a turn of events. It's usually Ruthinians who speak up. In fact, for good or ill, Rhuthun seems to have a reputation for complaining. Why has the once vocal Rhuthun contingent fallen so silent? Since the announcement of the revised parking charges, we've heard not a squeak from the usual sources. Ymlaen Rhuthun Forward was the parking charge ringleader but that organisation's declined in both importance and energy. The Chamber of Trade is again almost non-existent.
