This evening, the culvert by Dyffryn Services is reported on flood watch. The grill installed upon health & safety advice may threaten to cause a blockage, as waters from the hills descend upon Rhuthun/Ruthin. The grill prevents children climbing in. You sense that the council can't do wrong for doing right: without the grill, there is a risk to a child's well being; with the grill, debris is able to back up. The culvert is in flow for nine months of the year and formed part of the Mwrog Street flood relief scheme. It is not linked to Glasdir other than it's close by.
