An Interesting Development

Here's an interesting thing. Clough & Co's Dinbych branch has placed Clough & Co's Rhuthun commercial offices on the market. This is consequent upon the office moving to the new extension at the agricultural mart at Glasdir.

The local usually agriculturally-based housing and farmland sales have been handled from Dinbych for a while.

It's interesting that in describing its own offices that Clough & Co say
"We are given to understand that the property is connected to Mains Electricity, Mains Water, Mains Gas and Mains Drainage"
and
"We are given to understand that the property is Freehold and offered with Vacant Possesion (sic) upon completion"
They cannot spell "possession". And don't they know for certain about the status of their own property?

Clough & Co believe that the premises, all that's left of the old upper mart,
"Is conveniently situated and could easily be adapted for various uses subject to the requisite planning permission or permitted change of use under the planning use classes order"
Conveniently situated? There's a moderate public car park behind and although not on a major pedestrian route it is within easy walking distance of the Square. But adaptable? That isn't so easy as installing display windows might be problematic.

The mart wanted to merge its Rhuthun town centre and Glasdir offices as early as 1994, two years after the new mart was built. This did not come to pass, as planners at the time felt there was insufficient space for the mart itself, let alone any addition to it.
