They're about to resurface what must surely be the worst road in Rhuthun/Ruthin. Well, the worst *adopted* road (for private road Bryn Goodman is actually the worst of all).
That part of Lôn Parcwr from the Northern Relief Road is a short length of well-trodden highway (less than 0.1 miles) that is used by considerable numbers of heavy vehicles but is known to most of Rhuthun as the way to the dump. That it's in such poor condition isn't too much of a problem (unless it has resulted in your spring or suspension failing) because it actually helps keep speeds down.
Notice in these "before" shots the old kerb line left and right. One of these (on the dump side) will go but the opposite side will stay.
