In terms of marketing, this month’s heritage weekends were well presented but, unlike previous years, there were elements of disorganisation creeping in. This occurred in both Rhuthun/Ruthin (this weekend) and Dinbych (last). On at least one tour in each of the two towns, no guide turned up, leaving those booked stranded.

Still, this year, for those who were interested, both Ysgol Brynhyfryd and Schola Ruthinensis were open for the first time, as was Plas Coch, the Conservative Club and Rhif Deg, the Church in Wales' refurbished former Tillwise premises on Mwrog Street, adding something different.
