Cunning Green Closure

The Cunning Green, that mysterious, historic, secretive and winding path that runs from the gates of Ruthin Castle to the banks of the River Clwyd and that affords fine and otherwise unseen views over the backs of Clwyd Street, was today closed by Denbighshire council, after the collapse of a section of the castle walls. Parts of the remainder of the walls are believed to be in poor condition and the council cannot therefore guarantee the safety of those using the footpath.
