Let's Move To...

... Denbigh?

New today in the Guardian's "Let's Move To..." series is a feature on Dinbych. The Guardian describes it as "a pretty market town—a touch parochial, especially compared with its artsy, more cosmopolitan neighbour Ruthin". It would be hard to disagree with the latter part of that statement. The Guardian continues, "Since the hospital closed [finally, eight years ago, after a lingering death], which seemed to employ half the town, a sense of parochialism and inertia is setting in."

Two years and 17 days earlier, the Guardian featured Let's Move to... Rhuthun/Ruthin. No mention of Dinbych in Rhuthun's write-up. The Guardian said, "It's not especially on the way [to] anywhere. It requires seeking out. Thank goodness it's worth it. Imagine traipsing and tramping, only to arrive at Pinner or Slough." Or even Dinbych, perhaps? But this "all alone town" of Rhuthun is very small "with all the parochialism that entails—and relatively isolated: either your bag or not." So, the Guardian contradicts itself regarding insularity...
