I hope I am not over cooking things when I mention the Castle Hotel again.

Within five minutes of the our survey on the Castle Hotel's name going live at 5 on Thursday morning, two had done so! The survey has now closed.

It's said that today the Castle Hotel passes to Wetherspoon's. It's also said that the Castle Hotel will not reopen for many, many months. When it does, what name will it have?

Appeared yesterday a week ago is a sign on Market Street seemingly pointing to the rear of the Castle Hotel that invites motorists to come in for a hand car wash. In spite of that placard, there appeared no evidence of any splashing, soaping or sluicing. Maybe today. If it's where I think it is, it's obviously a new Wetherspoon's sideline.
