This time last week, the new Mococo jeweller had its opening. It has moved from its former half-shielded location at Castle Mews to a very prominent one just shy of the Square, top right, in the former Ethel Austin. The EA building is prime real estate for Rhuthun/Ruthin, owing to its size, shape and position.
Day One was very lively, with the new shop seemingly pulling in the punters. Indeed, Mococo has totally transformed the former EA's. Gone is the cramped, overstocked clothes shop.
In its place, a spaciously laid out, visible and bright emporium that could easily sit comfortably alongside others at London's Hatton Garden jewellery quarter. All it needs now is for Mococo to update its webpage with the new address.During the fortnight before the final conversion, shopfitters removed the new-style EA fascia board exposing the old style one.
